If you follow the instructions in the "Rebuild Web Applications" section of the SAS^® 9.3 Intelligence Platform Middle-Tier Administration Guide to rebuild the SAS Strategy Management 5.3 web application, you might find custom images are no longer available when using SAS Strategy Management Builder.

If the SAS Strategy Management 5.3 web application was rebuilt and images are missing, you can upload them again using SAS Strategy Management (for example, select Shapes ► New ► Image in the Diagram Editor).

You can also follow these steps before rebuilding the SAS Strategy Management 5.3 web application to preserve custom images, so they will still be available after the web application has been rebuilt.

Note, these steps assume a standard installation and configuration. You should modify the folder paths accordingly if your configuration is different.

1. Access the appropriate folder based on your web application server and copy the customer folder to the desktop or a location of your choice. This folder is replaced in Step 2.  
   
   WebLogic, WebSphere:
   SAS-configuration-directory\Web\Common\SASServer3\SASStrategyManagement5.3\CustomContent\wars\sas.strategymanagement\images
   
   JBoss:
   SAS-configuration-directory\Web\Common\SASServer11\SASStrategyManagement5.3\CustomContent\wars\sas.strategymanagement\images
   
   
2. Access the appropriate folder based on your web application server and copy the customer folder that resides at this location:
   
   WebLogic, WebSphere:
   SAS-configuration-directory\Web\Staging\exploded\sas.strategymanagement5.3.ear\sas.strategymanagement.war\images
   
   JBoss:
   JBoss-root-directory\server\SASServer11\deploy_sas\sas.strategymanagement5.3.ear\sas.strategymanagement.war\images
   
   
   
3. Copy the customer folder to this location:
   
   WebLogic, WebSphere:
   SAS-configuration-directory\Web\Common\SASServer3\SASStrategyManagement5.3\CustomContent\wars\sas.strategymanagement\images
   
   JBoss:
   SAS-configuration-directory\Web\Common\SASServer11\SASStrategyManagement5.3\CustomContent\wars\sas.strategymanagement\images
   
   
4. IMPORTANT: Close the windows in Steps 1 and 2.
